The health tech provider has begun a three-month trial of its AI-driven care platform at the Malvern, Victoria-based operator's Trescowthick Centre in Prahran, 5km southeast of Melbourne's CBD.
The trial, announced in May, will initially involve the deployment of InteliCare’s remote data monitoring and predictive analytics platform into the aged care home, as the ASX-listed tech platform looks to expand its footprint in the aged care sector. Projects teams from both InteliCare and mecwacare have been working together for two months to prepare the trial.
"So awesome to be able to launch InteliCare's project with mecwacare this week," said Daniel Pilbrow (pictured right), CEO InteliCare.
Positive trial outcomes could lead to the platform being expanded more broadly within mecwacare and to other aged care organisations.
InteliCare's platform features real-time data monitoring, predictive analysis, fall detection, and behavioural insights, and will be tested with the aim of improving resident care, supporting staff, and driving operational efficiencies.
Including hardware and installation fees, the trial is said to be worth $212,000 in fees to InteliCare.
At LEADERS SUMMIT 2025, mecwacare CEO Anne McCormack (pictured left) told attendees they had invested $20 million in a "transformational" technology overhaul in recent years.
InteliCare raised $2 million in a share placement last year with the aim of expanding its footprint in the aged care, disability and health sectors.
mecwacare has also been pursuing growth, with the recent acquisition of aged care homes in Long Gully and Flora Hill, both in Bendigo, 150km northwest of Melbourne. mecwacare operates 22 aged care homes, has six retirement villages, three affordable housing locations and four community and disability service centres, all in Victoria.
