Clifton Old Bar named NSW Land Lease Community of the Year

The Land Lease Living, Caravan & Camping and Manufactured Housing Industry Association of NSW's annual Awards of Excellence drew 200 people to Crown Barangaroo, Sydney. 

The title of NSW Land Lease Community of the Year was awarded to Clifton Old Bar, on the NSW Mid North Coast. It has 129 homes and Marketing Manager Dana Ingster told The SOURCE it is fully sold and occupied. 

Clifton Lifestyle, owned by Kenny Phillips and Richard Volpe, has sold the first six stages of homes at its second over 55s land lease community at Yamba, a town in the NSW Northern Rivers region. Dana said nearly 40 homes will be occupied by the end of the year. Homes are priced from $430,000 to $645,000. 

It has also announced a boutique community at Taree, also on Mid North Coast, of 50 homes. It is expected construction will begin early next year. 

Simon Owen, on the day the ASX was told he was resigning as Managing Director and CEO of Ingenia Communities, was present when Latitude One by Ingenia Lifestyle, in Port Stephens, was awarded NSW Land Lease Community Engagement Award.  

Max Camden, Development Manager at Ingenia Communities was awarded 'Outstanding Contribution by a Young Achiever - Land lease Communities'.   

"So stoked,” Max said on his LinkedIn page. 

Employee of the Year – Land Lease Communities was awarded to Leisel Dawson, Community Manager at Hometown Australia's Sunrise Lifestyle Community at Bobs Farm in the NSW Hunter. 

"Leisel has been recognised for her hard work, dedication, and passion after stepping into the role of Community Manager in 2022. Leisel has established a great rapport, created genuine relationships with residents and has the ability to bring people together. Leisel effectively implemented Hometown Australia’s yearly calendar of events and was a key contributor to the successful delivery of the Hometown Australia State of Origin Bowling Competition,” said Hometown Australia.
