The four finalists for this year’s category at the Property Council of Australia Innovation & Excellence Awards are:

Lifestyle Manor in Bondi Junction, Sydney (Australian Unity)
Mernda Retirement Village in Melbourne (Stockland)
The Village Coorparoo at Coorparoo in Brisbane QLD – which won the UDIA Best Seniors Living Award and overall President’s Award in 2015 (Village Retirement Group)
Wivenhoe Village at Cobbitty, NSW outside of Sydney (Mbark)

IRT Group has also received a nod for their Kemira facility on the NSW south coast for people with an intellectual disability, nominated for the Award for Development Innovation.

Breaking news: Government delays new Aged Care Act

Minister for Health and Ageing Mark Butler and Minister for Aged Care and Seniors Sam Rae announced this morning that commencement of the new Aged Care Act on 1 July 2025 will be delayed four months until 1 November 2025.
