B by Halcyon, the land lease community launched in February 2020 and now 90% sold, with just 31 homes left, was given the award at Brisbane City Hall last Friday (3 November).
Homes are priced from $849,000 to $1.39 million.
Located in the foothills of Buderim, on the Sunshine Coast, the 25ha lifestyle community has six hectares of private open space; a lifestyle, wellness, and recreational precinct, which includes a club and bar; and an outdoor resort-style pool and spa.
“Sustainability was a key focus in the design of B By Halcyon, with a vision to create one of our most sustainable communities yet,” Stockland Halcyon Regional Project Director, Chris Carley said.
The community also has solar throughout plus Tesla Powerwall batteries to power common facilities, a Tesla shared vehicle, and electric vehicle charging stations.
Entrants in the Seniors’ Living category were judged on several factors including environmental consideration, design innovation, sales results, commitment to the broader community and meeting the specific needs of retirement-age homeowners.
It adds to the 32-industry awards Stockland Halcyon communities have accumulated over the years.
