BlueCare tips Total Construction for Toowoomba RAC refurbishment

Queensland-based Not For Profit provider BlueCare has selected Total Construction to refurbish and upgrade its aged care home at Acacia Gardens in Toowoomba, Queensland.

Total has been awarded a $13 million contract for the project, which received $8.9 million in funding from the Federal Government via the Community Development Grants Programme.

According to Total, the refurbishment is expected to be completed by June 2024.

The 110-bed aged care home is co-located with BlueCare’s Acacia Gardens retirement village.

The Not For Profit, which specialises in acquiring rural and regional care home, announced this morning it will take ownership of several sites from the health and community arm of UnitingCare Queensland.
