Aveo marketing chief resurfaces at Ryman in new role
It is a well-known secret but Bridgid Allsopp has finally revealed she has been working at the New Zealand-owned continuum of care operator for the past two weeks.
Bridgid is Ryman Healthcare’s General Manaager Brand & Marketing, still based in Melbourne alongside Chief Executive Officer Naomi James, and Chief Financial Officer Matt Prior.
“I’ve had a wonderful introduction to the Ryman team over the past two weeks. It feels like such a good time to be joining Ryman as we push forward on our refreshed strategy,” Bridgid said on LinkedIn.
“As a marketer, it is an honour to join a brand with such a strong heritage. I am looking forward to leading and partnering with our pioneering marketing team – who have consistently pushed forward retirement and aged care living marketing.“”
Bridgid left the retirement village operator Aveo as Head of Marketing and Communications in November last year after joining the business in March 2021 as Head of Marketing.
Bridgid worked tirelessly to help grow Aveo to the $3.85 billion business it became – the record price The Living Company (then Scape Australia) paid Brookfield Asset Management for the retirement village operator.
Her marketing strategies helped Aveo move from 1,000 units sold a year to 1,200 to 1,500 units. In 2023, Aveo achieved 1,444 home sales and 1,500 last year.
In 2024, she was behind Aveo’s Finding your Togetherness multi-channel campaign campaign, reminding Australians of the importance of finding togetherness at all stages of life.
Bridgid accepted on behalf of Aveo the prestigious 2024 Australian Service Excellence Awards’ Customer Service Organisation (Large) of the Year prize.
She also picked up a number of awards including the Retirement Living Council’s Marketing Excellence award in 2023 for Aveo’s Take the First Step Campaign.
Bridgid has over 16 years’ experience in senior leadership roles within the retirement living sector.
On her announcement that she has joined Ryman Healthcare, former colleague Laura Martyn, General Manager Finance – Corporate Services at Aveo, replied: “Massive congrats Bridgid! They are so lucky to have you!”
