AC/DC guitarist Malcolm Young goes into aged care with dementia

Founding rhythm guitarist and major song writer of Australias most successful rock band, AC/DC, has been placed in Lulworth House aged care in Sydney.

Malcolm Young was placed in care by his wife Linda. He is aged 61. Malcolm is regarded as the backbone of the band having been its song writer for 40 years. They formed in 1973 and have sold over 200 million albums.

Breaking news: Government delays new Aged Care Act

Minister for Health and Ageing Mark Butler and Minister for Aged Care and Seniors Sam Rae announced this morning that commencement of the new Aged Care Act on 1 July 2025 will be delayed four months until 1 November 2025.
