The Gold Coast developer AHC is to build its second RV (recreational vehicle) homes community at Howard near Hervey Bay. The development will cover 45 ha.

Interestingly they are adding a 75 bed aged care facility to the development plus 47 independent living units.

RV communities operate under the ‘land lease communities’ zoning and business model. They cater to Grey Nomads that spend a large proportion of their time travelling around Australia. Every unit has space for a large recreational vehicle like a Winnebago. The slogan is ‘community with fellow travellers’ and ‘Home of the Happy Hour’.
