Columbia Aged Care appoints new CEO
Nick Moutos

Former CEO Lucy O’Flaherty had flagged that she would leave the Sydney-based private aged care operator in October last year.

Since then, former Chief Financial Officer Nick Moutos has been serving as Acting CEO.

However, Nick has been appointed permanently to the role, effective 31 December 2025.

In a social media post, the operator said in the year Nick has been with Columbia he has “shown his capability and passion for the work that we do”.

Lucy said: “I have immense faith in Nick's leadership and vision. I am certain that he will not only continue, but further enhance the amazing legacy and success of Columbia Aged Care.”

A Chartered Accountant, Nick has spent his career in the commercial sector providing commercial, governance, and systems advice.

Lucy left Columbia to take up the role of Chief Executive of Not For Profit Primary Health Tasmania.

She had 15 years in aged care leadership roles, including a decade as CEO of Glenview Community Services in Hobart, where she led the development of Korongee, Australia’s first purpose-built dementia village inspired by De Hogeweyk in the Netherlands.
