The 10-storey ‘Vista’ building, 14km east of Brisbane’s CBD, opened in November last year with over 50% of apartments selling off the plan.

The original 38-year-old retirement village of 107 low set villas is being transformed into a modern multi-storey community of 405 apartments and a co-located 140-bed aged care community.

The $68 million Vista is the third multi-storey building to be released in the $300 million transformation of the Parkside Carindale.

“Australia’s ‘Grey Wave’ of Baby Boomer retirees are seeking a high standard of living within an established community setting and we are positioning our portfolio accordingly,’’ Aveo Chief Executive Officer Tony Randello said.

“By providing design-driven apartments and ample lifestyle amenity to this next generation of downsizers, who are moving on from large family homes, we are also adding much needed housing supply to the broader market.’’

He added plans were advancing on the next stage of Parkside Carindale to meet the overwhelming demand.

The Vista building followed the first two stages, Parkland and Sanctuary, that provided 97 apartments and the community’s state-of-art facilities in 2019.
