A major new over-50s land lease community is coming to Kalkie, with Bundaberg Regional Council approving an 18-stage, 386-home retirement living development on 29 July.
The project, proposed by Telegraph Road Developments Pty Ltd, will be delivered under the Manufactured Home (Residential Park) Act 2003 and is set to become one of the largest lifestyle communities in Queensland’s Wide Bay-Burnett region.
The masterplanned community will include:
- 261 two-bedroom and 124 three-bedroom single-storey relocatable homes
- Generous lot sizes ranging from 290sqm to over 400sqm, with all homes including a double garage, and 17 offering RV-compatible double-length garages
- A 1,500sqm clubhouse featuring a gym, indoor pool, cinema, games room, library, café, bar, lounge, and multipurpose spaces
- Outdoor amenities including a bowling green, tennis court, pickleball court, men's shed, and caravan wash bay
- A 24-bay caravan storage area, plus visitor parking at key locations across the site
