The Not For Profit’s retirement village in the suburb of Nunawading, 18km east of Melbourne’s CBD, won Best Retirement Village Development Award and Best Luxury Retirement Living Award at the Property Council of Australia’s National Retirement Living Awards in June.

The awards were for Stage 1, built by Hutchinson Builders, which has 41 apartments, all occupied.

Stage 2 has 66 apartments and 51 have been sold and will open in November. Built by Ironside Construction, it will include a gym, Wellness Centre and pool.

There will be a third stage with 20 further apartments plus an auditorium and other office/communal spaces. It is hoped to be completed in 2025.

“It is progressing well,” said AdventCare CEO David Reece.

All apartments in Pavilions Blackburn Lake are two- or three-bedrooms.

Gobbill Director Galen Gan has been Project Lead for the entire project.
