The family-run Devine Parks has opened the first over 50s land lease community in the town of Scone in the NSW Upper Hunter.
The site, the former Scone Caravan Park, will have 32 one- and two-bedroom homes, starting from $245,999. The first home built by Goldbeer Modular Homes in Morriset, 111km north-northeast of Sydney's CBD, was delivered on 30 May.
"We have more orders than houses right now," said Jason Devine who is working with his father, Jason Senior, converting the caravan parks he owned into land lease communities.
"It is easy as the structure is already in place. We are very happy with Goldbeer and they are supplying to all our communities."
In September last year, Devine Parks launched Bulahdelah Over 55's Residential Village in the NSW Mid-North Coast, 235km north-northeast of Sydney's CBD, with 56 home sites, only three remain for sale. Devine Parks Karuah in Port Stephens,192km north-northeast of Sydney's CBD, has 10 home sites: six remain for sale.
