Keyton to employ health & well-being specialists progressively at its retirement villages

1 min read

The former Lendlease Retirement Living, rebranded and re-launched as Keyton on 1 June, is walking the walk of its new branding ‘Lead with heart’ by investing in health and wellbeing executives for its retirement villages to build better resident lives.

Keyton Regional Operations Manager, Liz Johns, told the Ageing Without Fear webinar (see below), presented by DCM Institute and the Retirement Village Residents Association NSW, of the plans to change the message in its retirement villages with a new well-being program.

In a trial last year, allied health professionals were deployed at seven villages to develop programs specific to the requirements of each village’s residents.

“We have seven of 26 health professionals to be employed by the end of October to cover one-third of our portfolio.

“Their role is to teach residents how to live life and connect in a social environment.”

Keyton CEO Nathan Cockerill said the health and well-being programs would be specific to each village.

“We want our residents to live healthier and longer as part of being in our village,” he told DCM Group Editor Lauren Broomham.

“We see the value in providing these services to the residents and a differentiator from our competitors at the end of the day.”
