Corio Projects’ $170M seniors living development in Sydney’s inner south approved

1 min read

Corio Projects has been given the green light for 170 independent living units and a 34-bed residential care facility across six buildings up to eight storeys in Rosebery, 6km south of Sydney’s CBD.

The NSW Government Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure approved the State Significant Development Application (SSDA) on 4 July.

Corio Projects already owns the Broadlands land lease brand, which has six communities in NSW: Green Point, Muswellbrook, Tamworth, Harrington, Narooma and South West Rocks.

Rosebery Seniors, designed by Jackson Teece Architects, marks the group’s move into the retirement living and aged care space. The development will feature 12 one-bedroom, 101 two-bedroom and 57 three-bedroom independent living units across five buildings, while the aged care facility will be housed in a separate six-storey building.

The plans also include a central courtyard, rooftop spaces, and resident amenities such as a café, gym, pool, spa and consultation rooms.

A second SSDA is also in play for Forest Lodge Seniors, designed by WMK Architecture, with 71 independent living units and 12 aged care suites, just 4km southwest of Sydney's CBD.
