Managing Director Sally Taylor said Retirement by Moran can now proceed with plans to redevelop the whole of the 9,234sqm site of The Wesley Mission's Wesley Taylor Village and Residential Aged Care home adjacent to the beach at Narrabeen.

They took possession on Monday, April 15.

In an expression of interest sale, Retirement by Moran beat off 14 other bidders to buy the prime site in October last year.

"There are 14 currently occupied apartments (total 24), and we are finding them alternative high care accommodation.

"We aim to develop a quality village, with extensive facilities, with around 120-130 beautiful apartments, that will meet the expectations of seniors on the Northern Beaches."

The Wesley Mission announced the closure of its 74-bed aged care home on the site, 23km north of Sydney’s CBD, in April 2023, when it also closed homes in Sylvania and Carlingford to mark its departure from the sector.

Retirement by Moran's Sage by Moran in Cronulla, 26km south of Sydney's CBD, is due to officially open later this month. Retirement By Moran is the village arm of Dr Shane Moran’s Provectus Care. Its operating village, The Rose by Moran, in Wahroonga, 18km northwest of Sydney's CBD, was named the ‘Winner – Excellence in Retirement Living‘ at the Urban Development Institute of Australia – NSW Awards for Excellence in 2022.
