1 min read

With its first stage of 63 units occupied since 2017 and a second stage of 47 units completed last year and all units reserved, retirement village operator St Ives has applied to the City of Stirling to amend its Stage 3 plans for 63 independent living units approved in 2014.

St Ives, which owns and operates seven retirement villages under CEO John Ford, has applied to increase Level 4 of the five-storey building proposed at St Ives Carine, 14km north of Perth's CBD, by 1,106 sqm and raise the building’s height from 43.1m to 45.1m.

Stage 1 cost $40 million, while Stage 2 came in at $36 million.

The application is open for community consultation until 28 June. Expressions of interest for Stage 3 are now open through St Ives Retirement Living.

Pending necessary approvals, construction work on the new building is expected to start in January 2026 and be completed by September 2027.
