Stockland wins DA approval on its first LLC in WA

The Sydney-based diversified property developer, intent on being the biggest land lease operator for seniors in Australia, has been given development approval for its first Over-55's community in Western Australia (pictured). 

The $122.2 million Stockland Halcyon Wildflower will have 228 architecturally designed, homes within the security of a gated community. It will also be located within Stockland Wildflower – Stockland’s first all-electric master planned community in Piara Waters, 26km southeast of Perth. 

Stockland Executive General Manager Col Dutton said it was the first of Stockland’s five or six new seniors’ villages planned within master planned communities. It has 21 similar villages in NSW, Victoria and Queensland. It announced its first land lease community in Sydney

“Stockland’s lifestyle living homes reinforce the strong sense of community and security that Halcyon communities are renowned for," Stockland Executive General Manager – Stockland Halcyon Communities, Richard Rhydderch, said. 

Homes in Stockland Halcyon Wildflower will have induction cooktops, electric vehicle charging points and smart home options to reduce environmental impact and give homeowners the chance to save on energy bills. 

In addition, there will be future Stockland Halcyon communities in Western Australia, including within Stockland Illyarrie master planned community, and in Busselton, a beachside suburb south of Perth.
