More than 50 heavyweights from the sector were invited to see inside the first stage of Reside Communities’ Esperance at Hope Island on the Gold Coast.

Living Choice Founding Director Ian Tregoning, Gannon Lifestyle Resorts CEO Jane Monk, One Fell Swoop Partner and Managing Director Christopher Rooke were among the 50-strong contingent of retirement industry professionals attending the Property Council’s National Retirement Living Summit.

Construction of the Esperance’s second stage, Essence, a collection of one-, two- and three- bedroom units has begun with more than 30% of residences already sold. There will be 300 apartments and villas in total.

The SOURCE: Esperance is the first Gold Coast retirement development by Reside Communities, who entered the market in March 2019 with the stated target of 1,500 village units over the next five to seven years. It has a pipeline of projects including the development of a $150 million, 180-apartment golf-side village and upgrades to Pacific Golf Club at Carindale, and multimillion dollar expansions to existing Brookland Robertson and Samford Grove retirement villages.
