Electrical fire at Echuca aged care home forces evacuation

Residents at Bupa’s Echuca aged care home were forced to evacuate after an electrical fire started in the facility.

CFA Echuca rushed to the home on 7 February before finding and extinguishing the small fire.

The area was aired out and residents were allowed to re-enter shortly after and CFA officials are not investigating the cause.

A timely reminder about the risks of fire in aged care when old and frail residents need to be evacuated.
