Evermore Retirement Living CEO reveals completion date for Stage One of second village

The Weeekly SOURCE first wrote about the retirement village in the heart of the coastal town Forster, on the NSW Mid North Coast in April 2022, with the first residents to move in at the end of 2023.

That was optimistic but there is momentum now, with buyers and community members given an exclusive first look behind the construction hoarding of Evermore Retirement Living’s Solaris Retirement Living project as the massive scale of the CBD's newest landmark begins to take shape on 6 February.

“Stage One of the retirement village is anticipated to be completed in December this year, with the remaining two stages delivered progressively within approximately 18 months to two years following completion of Stage One,” Evermore Retirement Living CEO Coyne Graham told The Weekly SOURCE last Wednesday (11 February).

“Pricing details will be released closer to completion as each stage comes to market. Current pricing for Stage 1 was between $700,000 to $1,500,000. We are almost sold out of the 60 apartments that comprise Stage 1.”

Solaris will comprise 148 apartments across three buildings, offering a mix of two- and three-bedroom residences.

The project is being positioned as a central hub for the Forster-Tuncurry region, blending premium retirement living with high-end retail, allied health and civic services.

The precinct is anchored by a 1750msq IGA supermarket and a 900msq medical space to be occupied by Hope Skin Cancer and GP Clinic.

The design aims to create a “lift-ride” lifestyle, where residents can access healthcare, groceries, and an on-site library without leaving the building.

“Once people see the stunning water views and the proximity to local cafes, they realise this is more than just a place to live, it’s about connection,” Coyne said.

This is Evermore Retirement Living’s second retirement village with its first Bruce Street, just outside the Forster town centre.

“It (Solaris) will not be our last. We are committed to continuing to work in this space and to delivering further Evermore retirement communities that are thoughtfully designed, well-located and genuinely integrated into their surrounding towns,” Coyne said.
