On 1 July Gerard Mansour will move from CEO of Aged and Community Care Victoria (ACCV) to CEO of the new industry peak body LASA. An executive search program had been initiated several months ago by ACAA to replace Rod Young who retired as its CEO. With the decision to launch LASA by ACAA, ACQ and ACCV as an alternative to ACSA, the search was transferred to a CEO for LASA. The LASA Board highlighted Gerard Mansours experience in bringing Private and Not For Profit operators together.
Australian Senate votes for two separate inquiries into aged care reform
The Senate has voted to establish two new Senate inquiries into the Government’s historic aged care reforms, rollout out on the weekend after years of preparation, amid concerns they will not deliver for older Australians.
