Goodwin Aged Care Services appoints new Chair

Goodwin Aged Care Services has reshaped its board leadership, with practising corporate governance lawyer and former Vice Chair Fiona Jolly appointed as Chair following last Thursday’s Annual General Meeting.

She succeeds Laurann Yen, who has stepped down as Chair, and director David Murphy, who has left the board after 11 years of service. Both were acknowledged at the AGM for their significant contribution to Goodwin’s governance and community impact.

“Goodwin has a proud history and a bright future, and I look forward to working with my fellow directors, management and our dedicated staff to ensure we continue to deliver the highest quality care and services for older Australians,” Fiona said.

Goodwin also confirmed the appointment of two new directors, Julie Blackburn and Bruce Papps, who bring experience across strategic leadership, risk, finance, audit, healthcare and clinical governance.

The ACT’s largest locally based Not For Profit aged care provider, Goodwin, which acquired Araluen Village in Fisher, 15km southwest of the nation’s capital, in October last year, is currently building Goodwin Village Downer, in Canberra’s inner north.
