ACT-based Not For Profit aged care provider Goodwin has acquired The Glen, a residential aged care home at Batemans Bay on the NSW South Coast, from Fresh Hope Communities.
The purchase of The Glen – which has been owned and operated by Fresh Hope since 2012 – will enable Goodwin to offer a continuum of care in the Batemans Bay region, as it has owned The Manor retirement village since last year and delivers home care services in the area, according to Goodwin CEO Stephen Holmes (pictured).
“Goodwin’s suite of services in the region includes retirement living, assisted living, home care, and now with the addition of The Glen, residential care, which means that Goodwin can meet the needs of seniors throughout their ageing journey, from independent living right through to end-of-life care,” he said.
All current staff will keep their positions at The Glen, and residents will continue to be offered the same services and amenities, once Goodwin takes over operation on 31 January 2023.
