Goodwin: Monash facility construction under way

ACT provider, Goodwin has turned the first sod at their Monash site for a new residential aged care home that will offer 35 high-care and 31 low-care places. Goodwin is one of the largest and longest established aged care providers in Canberra. The new facility is expected to be completed in mid-2012.

The Australia Government has announced 66 recipients of its Aged Care Capital Assistance Program with grants worth $300 million. The largest - a grant of more than $50 million - has gone to Southern Cross Care (QLD) to build a new 94-bed residential care home in Broken Hill, NSW.
