Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission and Office of the Inspector-General sign MOU

The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commissioner Janet Anderson PSM and the Acting Inspector-General of Aged Care Ian Yates AM have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) detailing how the two organisations will share information.

The Inspector-General of Aged Care was a recommendation of the Aged Care Royal Commission. After legislation was passed in August 2023, the Office commenced in October 2023 with the aim of shining "an independent light" on the aged care sector.

The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission is the sector's regulator.
