Russell Bricknell, CEO of WA's largest Not For Profit aged care provider, Juniper, has been appointed Chair of the Aged Care Workforce Remote Accord, a group of aged care employers and experts trying to help solve the aged care worker shortage in remote and very remote areas of Australia.

The Remote Accord was established in 2018 following the release of ‘A Matter of Care: Australia’s Aged Care Workforce Strategy’ report. The Aged Care Workforce Remote Accord works with services and communities to document the challenges their workforces face, and help them find strategies to overcome the challenges.

Russell has been a member of the Remote Accord since December 2022.

“As someone who is passionate about ensuring every community has an equal right to accessible high-quality aged care services, it’s a great honour to Chair the leadership group,” Russell said.

“I’m really looking forward to continuing these important conversations and engaging with communities, key stakeholders and Government to ensure there is an effective and informed approach when it comes to provider-led solutions.”
