Hall & Prior continues aged care expansion with purchase of Perth heritage-listed school

1 min read

Family-owned Hall & Prior Health & Aged Care Group has acquired the vacant building of the Loreto School (pictured) in Nedlands, an upmarket suburb of Perth, with plans to develop a health and aged care precinct with community amenity.

The building closed as a school in 2023, and Loreto gained heritage protection of the building before putting it up for sale.

Hall & Prior CEO Graeme Prior said they were "deeply honoured" to be part of the building's repurposing which is occurring alongside community consultation.

"This project represents an incredible opportunity to create something truly special for the community,” he said.

“We understand the significance of this site, not only as a physical space but as a place of shared history and connection."

The agents for the 1.82 hectare site at 69 Webster Street, Nedlands, were Knight Frank, with Loreto advised on the transaction by Charter Keck Cramer.

Settlement is expected in July, with the sale price unknown.

West Australian-based Hall & Prior was recently recognised on IBISWorld's top 500 Companies and has 39 aged care homes across Western Australia, New South Wales and the ACT. The operator also delivers home care services.

Hall & Prior has grown rapidly in the last 12 months, most recently completing the purchase of Kiama Council's Bonaira aged care facility.
