Building on the Chinese Australian Services Society’s aged care and ILU development approaching completion

1 min read

Building work on the Chinese Australian Services Society’s (CASS) aged care and independent living development in Asquith, 26km northwest of the Sydney CBD, is underway.

CASS is a provider of community services, including aged care, for people living in Sydney and Wollongong.

The new 96-bed residential aged care home will sit alongside a separate building for 13 new independent living units. Services will be extended to both buildings, as well as a community hall and ILU resident meeting room, from the basement and back of house area.

The building is designed to be contemporary and feel non-institutional.

Constructed on a long, narrow site, the home will overlook a cricket oval, providing residents with northern sun and leafy views.

The builder is Richard Crookes Construction with the architecture by Calderflower. The project is due to be completed in October.
