EY replaces PwC as provider of Aged Care Business Advisory and Workforce Service

The wide ranging free service was relaunched on 23 January 2024 with a new provider, EY.

Formerly, the Aged Care Business and Workforce Advisory Service was delivered by PwC, however, a spokesperson for the Department of Health and Aged Care told The SOURCE that the PwC contract expired on 30 June 2023.

PwC has been embroiled in a scandal in which a former PwC partner working on a Federal Government contract shared confidential Government information with clients, prompting the Government to strengthen the integrity of the tax system and effectively banning PwC from Government work.

The Aged Care Business and Workforce Advisory Service provides a free service to residential aged care and home care providers on matters such as cash flow management, occupancy, direct care costs, budgeting, pricing, competition, strategy, reform, governance, demand, and workforce challenges.

Providers in regional, rural and remote are particularly encouraged to apply, the Department of Health and Aged Care said in a statement
