In a Department of Health and Aged Care Digital Transformation Tech Talk earlier this month, an attendee asked, "Is there any funding available in the $1.4 billion to invest in the digital systems and capabilities of home care providers?"
The $1.4 billion the questioner was referring to is the amount the Government committed in the 2024-25 Federal Budget to upgrading aged care technology systems.
In May, we reported that none of these funds were available to aged care providers.
Now Fay Flevaras, First Assistant Secretary Digital Transformation and Delivery Division with the Department of Health and Aged Care, has confirmed that none of the funds will be extended to Home Care providers either.
