The Sydney North Planning Panel has unanimously approved the $77 million redevelopment of the registered Club built in 1959 in Forestville, 12km north of Sydney’s CBD. Northern Beaches Council recommended the development application to the Panel for approval, covering the construction of a single-level new Club and Garraway – a boutique retirement village with 52 independent living apartments.

Retirement village operator Keyton has been selected to redevelop Cronulla RSL’s prized oceanfront site and car park, opposite the beach, 30km south of Sydney’s CBD. The club, which posted a $1.5 million profit in 2024 ($1.8 million in 2023), called for expressions of interest in October 2023 to secure its long-term future amid declining gambling revenue and growing food and beverage competition. As part of the deal, the club will remain a central feature of the redevelopment.

Eureka Group Holdings has snapped up Coral Tree Lodge at Greenwell Point, marking its sixth acquisition in just eight months as it rapidly scales its all-age rental portfolio.
