Residents at Fresh Hope Communities’ Tasman Court retirement village at Thirroul in Wollongong, NSW, have been formally notified that the operator plans to demolish and redevelop the site.

The closure of Tasman Court follows the shuttering of McCauley Lodge, the adjacent aged care home, in July, with a rebuild planned.

“While retirement residents were not affected by the McCauley Lodge closure, Fresh Hope Communities has been communicating with these residents for several years about the possibility of a redevelopment,” said Fresh Hope’s Director of Seniors Communities, Lynn Bailey (pictured).
