After the market closed on Monday (28 July), investment bank Jarden Australia reportedly offloaded $133 million worth of Regis Aged Care shares for Dorman Family Trust, Ashburn Pty Ltd.
According to the Fin Review, the shares were on the market for $7.84 per share – a 2% discount to the last close.
The sale comes days after the ASX-listed provider acquired four aged care homes from Brisbane-based Rockpool for $135 million, net $204 million in RADs.
The sale reduces Bryan Dorman's stake in the company he co-founded with Ian Roberts in 1992 to 10.8%, less than half the 27% stake he retained when the company floated in 2014. Dorman, who stepped down as Non-Executive Director from the Regis Aged Care board in November 2024, began selling his shares down in May 2024. In May 2025, he sold $108 million worth of shares.
When the Rockpool acquisition is complete, Regis will have 72 aged care homes, owned 100% freehold, and 8,200 beds. As of February this year, the operator has also moved to diversify its services, acquiring home care provider BodeWell Community Care from the Knowles Group, doubling its home care footprint.
