The Oceanside Center in Hampton, New Jersey, is fighting a lawsuit filed by a resident’s family who claim the chemicals used to style resident Betty Pettigrew’s hair caused an allergic reaction that led to her death in April 2015.
They allege the perm caused burns to Betty’s shoulder and her eye to swell shut in November 2014, impairing her vision and leading her to break her hip.
