1 min read

Disneyland for Seniors, as it is known, The Villages covers an area of approximately 83km/sq, and is now home to more than 130,000 people. It has more than 60,000 homes, and has plans for another 60,000 homes to be developed over the next 20 years.

The Villages, in Sumter County, Florida, is rapidly expanding south towards Orlando. Prices for new homes start in the US$300,000 bracket and can go up to over US$1 million depending on the floorplan, location, and options/features you choose.

The Villages is home to the world’s largest recreation department, has more golf courses than any other community in the world, is home to three town squares where residents go to eat and shop and enjoy free nightly entertainment, and has about 100 restaurants.

Announced project include a new master-planned community Middleton, its first lifestyle centre (instead of town centre), three new recreation centres, two pitch & putt courses, a new market and a pub.
