The Ageing Australia CEO is looking beyond the recommendations of the Royal Commission and the implementation of the new Act. It's time to talk about the future of ageing in Australia.

At the 2025 LEADERS SUMMIT and in a conversation with SATURDAY this week, Tom revealed that Ageing Australia has been quietly working behind the scenes for the last six to 12 months on a project called the ‘Continuum of Ageing’.

He reflects that Ageing Australia members are involved in the journey from when the family first needs support in the home, through to specialised retirement living or independent living, and then residential care and palliative care in their own home or the aged care home; but these are individual silos.

“We need to talk about them as a whole system,” he tells us.
