Care management costs expose why home care fees must rise under Support at Home

The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing’s March 2024-25 Quarterly Financial Snapshot (QFS) shows that between 2020-21 and 2023-24, care management charges made up 16.5%-18% of home care providers’ total revenue, while the cost of delivering these services accounted for just 10.5%-11%.
