Levelling the playing field: how Ingenia Communities has set the bar for gender balance

Ranked No. 1 for the real estate sector in the Chief Executive Women (CEW) Senior Executive Census, Ingenia Communities has been a leader in gender diversity since its inception 12 years ago.

The land lease and holiday park operator’s top-down approach has paid dividends for both its staff and the company, which has grown from a $30 million company in 2012 to a $2 billion ASX-listed giant today.

Ingenia recorded a 2.7% gender pay gap for the 2022-23 reporting period according to the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) – well below the 21.7% national gap.

66% of its 1,300-plus staff are female – 64% of its staff at the senior executive level are women while 50% of its board of directors are female.
