“Unacceptable”: the Coalition’s wishlist – fix home care wait list

Shadow Minister for Health and Aged Care, Anne Ruston, has named wait times for home care as the Coalition’s No. 1 priority ahead of the Federal Election – but meanwhile neither party has outlined a clear policy direction for the future, beyond the Royal Commission reforms.

With 83,000 older Australians now on the wait list for Home Care Packages, the Shadow Minister has told SATURDAY a Dutton Coalition Government would continue with “the goal of working towards no Australian waiting for the care they have been assessed as needing.

Providing her three main commitments to aged care to SATURDAY, Ms Ruston said:
