Southern Cross Care NSW CEO, John Ireland, has kept a seven year promise he made to the Mercy Sisters nuns at St Michael's Nursing Home and Hostel in Casino. This week SCC started construction on a new $14 million state-of-the-art aged care facility on their existing site. It will have 73 aged care apartments, including a dementia care unit, and will be constructed in stages over two years so all residents can remain at St Michael's.
