Amana Living divests itself of another asset in remote WA
In March last year, The Weekly SOURCE reported that Respect had acquired the Perth-based Not For Profit’s aged care home, retirement village and home care services in Kalgoorlie.
Amana Living CEO Stephanie Buckland said in its annual report that the sale of its Kalgoorlie operations was “driven by the challenges of managing remote operations from Perth, workforce shortages and rising infrastructure costs”.
Now Amana Living has divested itself of Wollaston Court, its 22-unit rental community located in Albany, 418km southwest of Perth.
Not For Profit aged care provider Juniper will acquire the site. Juniper Chief Executive Oficer Russell Bricknell said the acquisition strengthens the organisation’s commitment to the Great Southern community and ensures older Western Australians can continue to access accommodation and care, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Wollaston Court is a rental community with one- and two-bedroom rooms. To be eligible for accommodation, a person must be over 55 years old and have assets less than $350,000.
“We are excited to continue supporting residents as Amana Living has done for many years, giving Albany locals an affordable housing option to keep living in their communities, close to family, friends and familiar surroundings,” Russell said.
Juniper already manages Juniper Korumup Residential Aged Care Home, Boronia Court Retirement Living and the Juniper Albany Community Centre in Albany.
Juniper will formally take over management of Wollaston Court on 30 April 2026.
