Keyton transforms vacant serviced apartments into new units at Melbourne retirement village

Keyton has welcomed its first residents into 25 newly built independent living apartments at Forest Hills, its retirement village in Nunawading, 18km east of Melbourne’s CBD.

The project, more than two years in the making, redeveloped 44 former serviced apartments that had stood empty since 2018 into a mix of one- and two-bedroom homes.

A Keyton spokesperson said the refurbished Forest Hills Apartment Precinct was designed to support an active and social lifestyle, with new community amenities including a communal kitchen, gym and courtyard. Ground floor apartments also open directly onto landscaped gardens.

The apartments are priced from $335,000 to $675,000, with open days scheduled next month.

The redevelopment also follows Keyton’s recent exit from the serviced apartment model, after closing its standalone Goodwin Close village in Blackburn South earlier this month.
