The NSW Police Force has reported that the 90-year-old woman, who was allegedly raped in a Central Coast aged care facility two weeks ago, died in hospital on Tuesday morning.
As previously reported, police allege that just after midnight on 15 November 2023, the man broke into the Bateau Bay facility, about 100km north of Sydney, and sexually assaulted the woman.
She was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but passed away on 28 November.
On 17 November, police arrested a man in relation to the alleged attack and charged him with a number of serious offences.
