Linda Mellors to move on from aged care
The Managing Director and CEO of Regis Healthcare had resigned from Australia’s only ASX-listed residential aged care operator in a shock announcement last December.
Now it has been revealed that after serving her six-month notice period, Linda will commence as MD/CEO of funeral, cemetery and memorial park operator InvoCare from 1 July 2026.
InvoCare is headquartered in Sydney, with operations in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. The company was listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) until November 2023, when it was acquired by private equity firm TPG Capital.
Linda was appointed as CEO of Regis in May 2019, leading the business through one of the most demanding periods in the sector’s history – the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety, the COVID-19 pandemic and, most recently, the implementation of the new Aged Care Act.
At last year’s full-year results announcement, she said the company has adapted and invested strategically to position Regis for future success. FY25 earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) was $125.8 million, up 17% on the previous year, while revenue rose 14.5% to $1.2 billion.
Under Linda's leadership, Regis was among the aged care sector’s most active acquirers in 2025, with a target of 10,000 beds by 2028. In the last 12 months, the company acquired OC Health’s two aged care homes, Rockpool’s four facilities, and BodeWell Community Care – a move that doubled home care revenue.
In recent months, a supersized merger involving Bain Capital-owned Estia Health, Opal HealthCare and Regis has been rumoured.
An executive search remains underway at Regis for Linda’s replacement.
