Maiestas Care’s Nexia to develop new aged care homes
Nexia will also offer Support at Home in the north Melbourne suburbs of Woodend, Kyneton, Sunbury, Gisborne, New Gisborne, Melton, Deer Park, and surrounds.
The operator has expanded into Support at Home and has revealed plans to open two new aged care facilities with a total of 264 beds in the next two years.
Warrina Aged Care, a 76-bed aged care home in New Gisborne in the Macedon Ranges 55km northwest of Melbourne, is now Nexia Aged Care, effective 24 November 2025. The home was acquired by Maiestas Care in 2023 for $24 million, but has been in operation for 20 years.
Nexia will also offer Support at Home in the nearby north Melbourne suburbs of Woodend, Kyneton, Sunbury, Gisborne, New Gisborne, Melton, Deer Park, and surrounds.

Maiestas Care Managing Director Anthony Palmieri told The Weekly Source the operator also plans to open a 132-bed aged care home in north Melbourne late next year or in early 2027.
A second project, a five-storey, 132-bed aged care home at 5 and 140 Dorchester Road, Craigieburn, 25km north of Melbourne, has received development approval. Documentation is now being drawn up for the Craigieburn project, which will go to tender next year. The architects on the project were Marchese Partners I Life 3a.
