Metacap proposes land lease community at door of SA’s wineries
The land lease operator, led by Alex Jimenez, has lodged plans with the Clare and Gilbert Valleys Council in South Australia to build its latest community.
Metacap Clare Unit Trust has proposed Seasons at Clare, a community of 149-single-storey two- and three-bedroom homes across 12.7 hectares at Stanley Flat, 6km north of the large town of Clare, which is known for its wineries and cellar doors.

Metacap is also planning to build a health and wellness centre with gym, large swimming pool, hot tub, steam room and a sauna room, along with community areas including a lounge, dining and functions areas and a games and workshop area.
A wine barrel-inspired entry walkway – designed to highlight the region’s viticulture heritage – will lead to a communal outdoor seating area that centres the development.

Each home would have a private driveway and double garage. Seasons at Clare would also have an additional 32 visitors car parks and dedicated caravan, boat and trailer parking areas for residents.
Metacap, which has developed Riverbend Village in Ballina in NSW’s Northern Rivers, Riverbend Burpengary in Queensland’s Moreton Bay, and Riverbend Yandina on the Sunshine Coast, is currently building Riverbend Hervey Bay on the Fraser Coast and Riverbend Agnes Water in Gladstone. The group is also proposing Riverbend Port Hughes in South Australia and Riverbend Bermagui on the NSW South Coast, both targeting the over-50s market.
