Goodwin Aged Care Services has achieved more than 50% pre-sales at its newest retirement community, Goodwin Village Downer, in Canberra’s inner north – marking strong demand for the Not For Profit provider’s next-generation village model.
Designed by CK Architecture, Goodwin Aged Care Services says the project is designed to offer a fresh take on independent living, blending modern design, wellness-focused amenities, and flexible support options for older Canberrans.
The village will feature 109 two- and three-bedroom apartments for independent living, complemented by 20 one-bedroom assisted living residences. The assisted living apartments will include private kitchenettes and ensuites, along with access to shared communal spaces and landscaped village gardens.
When complete, Goodwin Village Downer will include a modern gymnasium fitted with pneumatic technology, wellness and treatment rooms, and spaces designed to encourage connection and healthy ageing.
The village is scheduled for completion in early 2026.
