‘Move it, or lose it’, new approach to physical wellbeing

1 min read

Private operator TLC Healthcare is taking an integrated approach with its new Wellbeing physical health program designed to keep its residents moving on a regular basis.

The largest family owned residential aged care service provider in Australia has been incorporating a range of state-of-the-art gyms and hydrotherapy pools into its residential aged care homes.

Their new physical health program will utilise those facilities, and their existing fitness classes, to build tailored physical activity programs for its residents.

The goal of the program is to document the activity that the residents are undertaking to show evidence of how that activity is improving their overall strength, agility and balance.

TLC Healthcare owns and operates 11 residential aged care homes across Melbourne and Geelong. They have been industry leaders in integrated healthcare, incorporating medical centres into their aged care homes, and recently launching their new childcare service.
