Value-added distributor inTechnology has launched a new system for residential aged care providers to track and report care minutes ahead of next week’s introduction of the AN-ACC funding model.
Based on Real Time Location System (RTLS) technology, the Automated Care Minute Reporting System will help providers ensure they are meeting AN-ACC’s new requirement of 200 care minutes per resident per day, according to Mark Winter (pictured), CEO of inTechnology Distribution.
“This system automatically captures every interaction between caregiver, registered nurses and resident with detailed real-time reporting and alerts to ensure each resident receives the right amount of care minutes based on their case-mix classification.
“These aggregated minutes can then be viewed within the system per shift, day, week, month, et cetera, or integrated into an existing Care Delivery Management System, Business Intelligence (BI) or AN-ACC reporting platform,” he said.
AN-ACC will be introduced on 1 October; a Mirus survey in February found 70% of CEOs had done “little or nothing” to get ready.
